Sell vs. Gong

Enterprise revenue intelligence, against a workspace that also does the paperwork.

What Gong is good at

Gong is the most established product in this space and it is very good at the thing it was built for: reading an entire sales organisation's conversations and telling leadership what is happening across the pipeline. If you have dozens of reps and a forecast to defend, that depth is real and it is hard to replicate.

How Sell is different

Gong analyses the selling. Sell also does the selling: the call, the price list, the proposal, the invoice and the payment are the same product. Gong sits alongside a CRM and a quoting tool and a billing system; Sell is trying to be the place a small team does all of it.

When to choose Gong instead

  • You have a large sales organisation and need forecasting and deal-risk analytics across it.
  • You already run a mature CRM and quoting stack, and want conversation intelligence on top rather than a replacement for any of it.
  • Your buying process requires the compliance and procurement posture of an established enterprise vendor.

When to choose Sell

  • You are one to a few dozen sellers and the paperwork after the call is the part that actually costs you time.
  • You want the price quoted on the call and the invoice sent after it to come from the same place.
  • You want your clients paying you directly, on your own Stripe account.
