What Fathom is good at
Fathom is excellent at what it does and unusually generous about it: a genuinely useful free tier, a clean product, and summaries that land fast after the call. For an individual who wants to stop taking notes, it is a very easy recommendation and we would make it.
How Sell is different
Fathom's job finishes when the summary is delivered. Sell's starts there: the price you quoted, the proposal that follows, the invoice, the payment, the task nobody wrote down. If notes are all you need, the extra surface is weight rather than value.
When to choose Fathom instead
- You want meeting notes, you want them free, and you want them today.
- You are an individual rather than a team, and there is no paperwork after your calls.
- You are happy on the tools you already have and want one small thing added to them.
When to choose Sell
- The follow-up is where your week goes: the proposal, the invoice, chasing the money.
